Isobel Munro Memorial Mixed Bonspiel

The start of the curling season is only a few days away.  The ice team is hard at work, ensuring that we once again have the best ice in the valley.

One of the highlights early in the season is the Isobel Munro Memorial Mixed Bonspiel, celebrating a true icon of Ottawa Valley curling.  Isobel Munro, a member of the Arnprior Curling Club for 75 years, was always proud to represent Arnprior on many women’s and mixed teams at the provincial level. She was also skip of a women’s team who represented Ontario at the national level with Thelma Lindsay, Geraldine Macklem and Vivienne Johnston.  

This year's event will be held on Saturday, November 23rd.  As always this popular event promises to provide curlers with a fun-filled day full of activities.  The day includes two eight-end matches, morning coffee and muffin, lunch, buffet dinner, as well as cash and participation prizes!
